Anyone ever repair or replace the headphone jack on an Explorer XS?

Neil

Well-known member
Mine has loosened up and works intermittenly so Im looking for instructions on how to take it apart, get at it. Ive soldered a bunch of stuff so thats no problem, just want to go about it the right way and have never opened an explorer up.
Thank you,
Neil

Taking it apart is simple. I have done several including my hunting buddies XS.
Simply remove the arm cup. Then there will be some screws on the side of the housing near the long sticker (battery side area) and one underneath a sticker if I remember correctly.
Carefully open it up. There is no need to dissemble any further just use something to keep it wedged open until the new Jack is soldered in and hot glued back in.
Hope I helped you.
