Anyone else want to rid themselves of an ACE 250?

I missed Darren B's other deal, but I am anticipating working on an evidence recovery training project where they use the Garrett CSI-250. I figure the ACE is comparable and I would like to become familiar with them.

What I have to trade is a Discovery 3000, essentially a Sharp Shooter II with a volume control (an excellent addition). It is in great condition and I would like an even swap for either of the 250s. The condition is not too important, but must function 100%.

The addition of a volume control is a big help in all metals mode and makes the sharpshooter a sensitive deep hunter. I tried getting back to you on your offer, but even after I registered for the forum I still couldn't PM you.

I was very frustrated. Fortunately, you can upgrade your SS II with a inline volume control and an eighth to a quarter inch phone jack adapter from the Shack.

If you decide to sell your 3000 outright, send me a message... I'd certainly be interested in talking with you about it. Since I got my 2200, I have become very fond of the discovery series!

If I were to sell it I would have to use the money for bills etc. so I would rather swap it.
