Anyone else notice the difference on crown caps...

between the Excel and C$?

Not many "lock on" readings with the Excel on those rusty bottlecaps. Dug a wheatie the other day that was bouncing like a cap until I switched directions slightly and she steadied out a bit. The take was one wheat and one really rusty bottlcap. Don't know how they were positioned relative to each other but the info was there that it "might" be something good. :) I've seen rusty staples blank out good targets with other machines but have dug coins with the Excel that have them in the dirt pile too. Yup Fisher did good on this one.

on burnt/spent sparkler wires. They give alot of machines problem since they can be shaped almost any way, especially after a sand rake has been dragged over them , but the Excel is correct in the 90% range on them. And I pulled a dime up with one, I was shocked, mighty small good target in middle of a real large nasty one.

I have dug my share of those D&*n! sparkler wires on the beach and in the water. Got burned by one when I was a little kid and the scar is still visible. They burn HOT!

I with you on that. I don't think I have dug more than a couple with the Excel, and I dig every signal. They are not a problem with the Excel

Yea, there is a difference. I'm not gonna pretend I'm an engineer & say I designed it on my coffee table or something like someone else, but I sorta wondered if the Excel handles some trash better because it does not have as much raw power? :nerd: Not that the Excel is "shallow" as Mr. Try & Sell called it, not by any means....but it's not just a C$ minus a few features. It's definately different....& that's good :) Glad to have both available....
PS. No wonder I gut banned, I can't help the wisecracks....but I only jabbed 2 people in this post :poke:

credit Bill, then we could all claim to be one a them there minions too.

You just said that evil word "minion" & we have a spy here :nono:
