Hi, all:
I've had my F-75 for nearly a month and love the many options and the way it performs. I've had none of the problems (knock on wood) others have been having. I AM having trouble pinpoint with it. I'm an experienced detectorist and have used most of the brands of detectors over the years. I've been clad hunting to get used to the F75 because the ground is VERY dry and I don't want to yard hunt and kill someones grass by digging a plug. I've been hunting a school field used by the High School band to practice their presentations for football games. I've dug several hundred coins there this month. Deepest has been three inches. Anyway, I pinpoint by detuning the detector over the signal until it gets down to about three inches square area. When I dig, about everyt fourth hole I have to enlage to find the coin. I start with a six inch plug, and when I have to enlarge the hole it can get close to a foot in diameter. I think it may be coins that aren't laying flat, but I find it hard to consistantly pinpoint a target. I hope Sunray comes out with an inline probe soon. If they don't, I may break down and buy one of those pricey Uniprobe units. I need a probe with some depth in it to help locate targets in the ground. Anyway, just curious if it's just me, or if others are struggling with it, as well. Outside of tha, I really am sold on the F-75. I'll be glad when we get some rain and I can hunt some yards for older and deeper coins.
