Anyone Else Having This Issue

Purchased a set of headphones to use with my X-Terra 70. They don't make contact unless you put pressure on the 1/4" jack, then the headphone icon lights up, but also no sound. Has anyone else had any issue with the headphone connection?

No, I have not had a problem. Are they new head phones? If so I would return them. Sounds like a lose wire?

If the headphone plug is molded, look to see if at the shoulder area(photo green arrows), there isn't an over-molding. This can be a ridge of excess plastic that sticks out and doesn't allow the plug to fully seat in the jack. If there is, then some careful trimming with an Xacto knife should take care of it.

I checked and it is molded correctly, no excess. When I put pressure on the plug it will then show the headphone icon but I'm not able to hear anything through the headphones. I also had the headphones checked out and they do work. I have come to the conclusion it is a problem with the receptical in the control box. I talked to MineLab and they agree and will replace the control box when they receive their inventory

I would try another set of phones from a buddy. See what happens!!
