Anyone compared depth of the ID Edge to.......

New member
the 1270 or CZ3D on coins? (Trying to decide on a new detector, any help would be appreciated)

I just tried all three units on a dime 10" in highly mineralized soil. All three with 8" coils. The 1270 had strong signal 3" above the ground. The CZ3d had a strong signal at 2" in all metal and ID but indicated target was iron. The Edge had a strong signal just over an inch above the ground. The Edge had one advantage about every other swing it ID at positive coin.

The Edge is the only Fisher I have. I don't have any 10" dimes buried but the Edge gives a good strong positive ID at 7". I have highly mineralized soil.

Seems the ID Edge has good depth!
