Anyone Changed The Focusing Screen In A DSLR ?

The original focusing screen in the Pentax had some marked spots for the center spot and the spots for the focusing spots away from the center.
That screen was really dusty, dark and I think dirty. It had no effect to the images but it was a mess to adjust the focus manual.
So I ordered a Split Image Focusing Screen for the Pentax from China as there is no one available in the Pentax accessories.
The set came with all the stuff what is needed to do this job and it took 5 minutes to change the screen.
WOW. - What a difference. And adjusting the focus is really easy and fun now. (as there are situations the auto focus will fool)

Someone else went to this?

Hi Vito,
I watched it done on Youtube to a Sony NEX 5 T, that was a little out of warranty...

Is your Pentax a touch screen ??

BJ

Hello BJ.

No, it is not a touch screen one.
That screen is only to do camera settings and watch images.
You can do a preview from the image taken from the sensor,
but it does not have a real live view like the newer ones have.

There are also no video modes available.
