anyone change a coil on a compardre ?

Changing to a smaller or larger coil may make the detector quieter or noisier.
There is a sensitivity trim pot inside that can be adjusted to take care of that.

Changing cols may or may not effect ground balance, can also be adjusted from inside.

You can make your Compadre run hotter by cranking up the sensitivity so it just starts to chatter, rather than running quiet.

If you PM me your email I can send you the file I have on how to add a coil connector on the control box.

I also have a video that will show you how to adjust the ground balance trim pot, real easy.
