Anyone care to give me a report on the stealth x-5

Interested in how it did on your pounded sits and what kind of depth it has.

Its great for really trashy sites. It will seperate out targets as close as 1" apart from each other. The deepest target so far has been about 7" but that was with the gain at 5 and sens at 24 auto. If it wasn't so trashy I would up the gain to 10 and sens to 28 manual or higher if the soil allowed. These higher settings might allow targets to 9" or 10". The other great thing is getting inbetween tree roots and rocks or clumps of vegitation. It runs very smooth and stable. A lot of people say the same great things about the X8.

It's a great specialty coil for high trash areas. I haven't used it much so I really can't speak for what kind of depth it gives. But the one thing that has impressed me with it is the fact that the target ID is dead on. Even in high trash it doesn't false, and if it says silver you can bet the farm that it's going to be silver. The only problem I have with the X-5 is that because it is so small and light I tend to swing it too fast. I have to really concentrate on slowing down my swing speed. Also, Darrell discovered one annoying feature of the X-5 recently and that is that it floats. If you do any water detecting with it apparently it requires a fair amount of effort to hold it down. But I really like my X-5 and I wouldn't leave home without it!

I decided to get a little better aquainted with the X-5 yesterday and I must say that it keeps on impressing me more and more. Click on the link below to view my post and photograpgh on the FBS forum about my latest X-5 experience.

Thanks Nimrod for the link. Been busy and would of missed it. Yesterday I made it out with the x-5 and found a couple oldies, enough to keep me content until my good sites open up. I'm quite confident my day was made much better by the increased seperation. Glad I bought that little sucker.
