anyone buy from kellyco?

Looking for anyone who has ordered from kellyco metal detectors...how it went any neg or pos feedback from there experience with then...thanks

I bought a detector from them about 3 years ago and was very happy with there service. I have read in a few post people have had to wait for back order stuff. So ck for availability before ordering.

I got my Ace 250 from them a year and a half ago. They were extremely helpful in helping us decide on what detector to get, didn't try to sell us a more expensive one either. Then later I learned that they were giving away a free pinpointer with the purchase, I called them and he sent me one free even though I didn't purchase it in the right time-frame. I would deal with them again, but like Crocket said, "check for availability". I was wondering if with so many people out of work or worrying about being out, they are taking up metal detecting in hopes of finding a treasure, and that is why things are on back order?

Had to wait 3 weeks for my detector due to it being backordered. Be sure that what you order is "in stock" unless you don't mind waiting.

Called and talked to JW.... He got me lined out on an SEF coil ..... I was very happy with their service......

With a big outfit like Kellyco, it seems like getting a knowledgeable and diligent sales rep is sometimes the difference between a smooth transaction and a not so smooth one.

I've read positive feedback here about JW so if I was inclined to order from Kellyco, I'd ask for him.

My wife ordered the ace 250 from them no problem.....I went there while on vacation bought the whites bhid no problems....I order the f75ltd from them camo last Nov.the last one they had no problems....I ordered a sand scoope no problem.also headphones and the pro pointer no problems fast service to if that helps.......hh......Dan

I bought a Sovereign Elite that came stock with the 8" Tornado coil from Kellyco in 2004. The package eagerly arrived to me within the week that I had ordered it. The package box that the Elite had arrived in, did have a damage hole in the corner of it though when it had arrived via the Big Brown Truck that beautiful April day. But luckily the detector itself, the meter, the coil and none of the other assembly parts were touched or damaged due to the box being damaged sometime, more than likely, during the shipping process. The only real problem I had was with the 10" Tornado coil that I had purchased from them separately. The "ears" on the coil to which the lower shaft gets mounted to, were both bent inwards somewhat. Just enough so that it make it impossible for me to connect the two together. A factory defect during fabrication of the coil no doubt after inspecting it. Attempting to spread the "ears" apart by whatever means, would have of course, only resulted in cracking or breaking. So after calling them up, and explaining the problem to them, they had me send the coil back, with no shipping cost to me, and they then promptly sent me back a new, and perfect one.

Would I have a problem or a concern about buying from them again? No, probably not, but I think the next time around, when I'm in the market for another new detector, I will support one of the smaller, forum dealers here instead.

I got my F 5 last week got the V 4 pin pointer for $20 and bought stock 10" the coil cover. But when they sent me my e mail order confirmation the next day I noticed that on it was the 11" D D cover, So I called them up and asked them if that was right. They realized there was a mistake, but my package was already sent and the 10" will be sent right away. Anyway he said, you ever think on up grading with 11" D D I can let you have it for 1/2 price $8.00 I said no not right now, why don't you just send me a box and I'll send it back to you!
Well my 10" cover came very fast but nothing to send back the 11" So it looks like I have a 11" coil cover but but no coil yet.

I ordered twice from Kellyco, no issues for me. So far my experience with them has been a very good one. I would do business with them again.

I purchased a few detectors from Kellyco without any problems however .....
my last two detectors were from smaller dealers.

What I found is that the some of the smaller dealers will take a much more
personal approach to your detector needs.

I was really impressed with Chuck from Indian Nation Metal detectors.
Very personal, with good email and phone followup before and after
the sale.
