Anyone beach hunting OC area? I'm using an LST with

a variety of coils. I've been interested in trying a Sand Shark or Tiger Shark. Anyone care to get together and do a hands on, on site comparison with each?

Don,
If I was closer I'd let you try my Tiger Shark but you wouldn't be very happy with it on the Beach. I do get to SoCal beaches quite often,(I'm in AZ), but my Tiger is my go to freshwater detector. It's not nearly the best when it comes to Saltwater beaches.

Thanks Tom, I see you run a Sovereign GT. I hear these do quite well on the saltwater beaches. How would you compare this to a PI machine? I believe the GT affords discriminating out iron?

Tom (AZ), Jim and I hunt SoCal beaches all the time. Jim uses his xcal on the wet and his GBP on the dry. Tom and I occasionally use our Sovereign's on the wet and our Racers on the dry (I pretty much stick to the dry). I also have a number of Tesoro's for dry sand work.

The Sovereign GT is a Great wet sand detector. It is just about as deep (when using the SunRay S-12 coil) as my White's Dual Field but it totally ignores iron. I don't get to use it as often as I'd like so it's currently on fleabay.
