Anyone beach hunted in the Mexican Riviera?

Hi Guys! my family and I are finally getting out of the winter here in Michigan for a vacation in the Mexican Riviera. I really dont have much beach experience, but cannot wait to just be in the sun. Has any of you guys (or girls) been there? I am wondering if anybody has any stories of what they may have found and or tips. I have a Sovereign GT and plan on working the surf. Thanks, Aaron
