Anybody using the NEL Sharpshooter coil on the Etrac?

D&P-OR

Well-known member
If so, how is the performance of this coil on the Etrac?---(depth, separation, stability, etc.)

I have the NEL Sharpshooter, Tornado and Big coils.
They all do what they're supposed to do and do it well especially the Tornado.

My experience with the Sharpshooter... your mileage may vary.
The Sharpshooter coil has found a few targets as far as 8 maybe 9 inches deep. Never found anything deeper to date.
It also allows for a max manual sens. setting in most areas so stability is great.

It is however a 'deep' severely corroded nail magnet spoofing as deep silver. But then thats not all that unusual for larger coils at increased depths.
Junk to keeper separation via ID is about the same as the stock coil for shallower targets down to maybe 5 or 6 inches depending on soil/junk-density conditions.

As with all small coils, its best used in junk dense areas with relatively shallow targets expected.

Thank you for your detailed observations on the Sharpshooter.
