anybody using a headhunter wader?

with the 8" coil. I really like it in the water, wet sand, damp sand and dry sand. It finds a target and locks right onto it with a good solid sound. See my post below, most of the loot was found in neck deep water with the Wader. Be careful not to buy an older model because the headset wires tend to break and factory repair will be needed.

I have seen the older models going for around $450 and the new ones are $585 to $650. The wire connecting the 2 headphones is a very heavy duty wire on the new ones. The old style had a wire that is about the thickness of the wire coming from your computer mouse. Also they enhanced the sensitivity and discrimination a little better. It definitely is worth the price difference. Whatever you do, do not buy it off Ebay.....most of those are broken and were out of warranty so it would cost to have them fixed.

Hey Gary, Huntress has 1, but the depth is pretty weak. If your beach is pretty clean, you would be better off with the PI. I will buy Huntress a PI when the funds become available. The Wader seems to shine very well in fresh water though. Huntress put it on me last time at the lake with a gold ring and Excal had none. Go figure. She has been running the wader in the surf and it has been pretty quiet lately, but so has my Aquasearch, so I am just puckered in general. If you call Mr.Bill at Surf Scanner Detectors and tell him you want a 2005 model, then that's what you'll get and he'll take good care of you. GH
