Anybody use ultimate coil on an XS?

That's a very big coil for the XS. What I mean is a larger coil see's many more targets and with that you need the detector to "Reset" from nulling as quickly as possible. The XS while being an Amazing machine is a "First Generation" so it's processor is slower that the SE would be. I have both and personally I would not put my 10 X 12 SEF on it. I think the 13" is even bigger. I have a 6 X 8 SEF coming on Thursday and I think that would be the perfect size coil for the XS. It will have excellent depth and separation and the XS will be much quicker with it VS the larger SEF.

Just my 2 cents,

You're right that is a big coil but I've been using a 10 x 12 and 12 x 15 SEF on my Explorer XS for years with no problems, the trick is you really have to hunt slow because you're right the processor is not as fast as the SE or E-TRAC but with a little patience I think you can hunt it with no problem.
