anybody use the vaquero for nugget hunting?

wonder how well it works? i know the lobo is designed for it, but wonder how well the v would do. and if so what coil would you use?

I used one last hunting season with a 5.75 coil and it did ok as long as the ground minerialization does not get above the moderate level, then you have to use a PI machine. The V is handy for packing it into hard to get places while scouting for nuggets.

colt was that the 5.75 con or 5.75 dd you used?

Use the 5.75 DD it will handle the ground mineralization a lot better. I use this coil on a V and do okay, The V can handle heavy ground mineralization just fine.
