Anybody use sounds Constant?

Hello all explorer experts, need advise where to use Constant Sounds and what advantage it gives? I found it useful in some situation, but would like to hear other opinions. Thanks Stasys

Stasys.... i was hoping Constant was a non processed signal much like pinpoint on other machines ie DFX. But it aint and there is no depth advantage. To me seems like a waist since you have to look at the screen for each target. With tones i just cant see any use for it. Even on a beach where you dig everthing you would use it because you listen to tones. Had they not tied it to the processor we might have had a tool with a useful purpose.

Dewcon its actually a bit deeper and deeper then pinpoint-detector works more stable than in conductive or ferrous without discrimination. I can agree with you no point in iron infested places, but if place special and clean I think very good tool. about what screen shows dont know, was not looking.

Were you using AIR test? I did mine on a beach with little minerals or other targets to interfere. So we could get different results on the depth. But... as long as the screens are working its not a true PP mode.. its a processed signal. Those SMART signals as i call them require something for the machine to do other than just ID a target as metal. Might be worth it on the beach.... with a little more mineralized soil where the MLs do well and could give a bit more detph. You do check a lot of targets on the sand and dig most.

Dew

Dew it was in the real metal detecting, I was picking small-very small targets in the wood, without discrimination in Constant explorer was very nice, stable and I was able to get deeper then in TTF, SE pinpoint was useles its looks like pinpoint made for bigger targets. I suspect in constant possible to get some bigger gold nuggets.

Raw gold hunting would be an interesting place to use it then. What kind of sensitivity was you using? Seems in those locations you could use more.... well except for the hot rocks you might run into. Ive found hot rocks and gold are co-located. If you find the BIG one let us know.

i was using max posible stable manual sensitivity, hot rocks can be problem but different coils can help, some coils more tuned on it. :geek:
