Anybody still using the ID Edge?

Quit awhile back I read some good posts about the Edge such as quick response time and good in iron. I bought one last week and since the weather is so cold haven't been able to get out and try it. My indoor air test are not that impressive and response time didn't seem that great but I'll have to see what it does in the dirt. I'll just have to hibernate a few more days till it warms up.

no one detector can do it all but the Edge does work great in iron infested sites.Dont worry much about the air test depth its plenty deep in the ground. Not like an all metal threshold based machine like a 5900 4900 etc but its deep enough for most hunting.

The target response is fast plus it has a real time I.D. thats lightning fast.

I prefer the 5.75 over the 8 inch for more accurate id and better trash seperation.

Is it my only detector? No

But its a great tool for your detector battery if it was the only detector I had I would'nt complain a bit. well I probably would.Dang Curiosity !!!

I use all brands and it stacks up well against the competition in my ground any-way.

I'm enamored with its ability when comparing it against other detectors.I spend about $3500 a year in detectors trying them out and it holds its own easily.

Kurt, I'm in same position you are, just got Edge and waiting on sunny days. I had 2 Excels that would not ground balance in my soil, yet found deeper coins than any previous detectors. This edge ground balance perfectly so feel its THE detector for me.

I use the edge as my bread and butter detector it finds the really small stuff in amongs the iron and trash its light weight and very fast as i have pulled dimes.pennys qtrs out of the same holes with pulltab, nails, and other junk, you can wade with it in the water(JUST CAN'T GET THE BOX WET) AND IT WILL get what others miss both in the water and on land if you dont think so just look at some of my post on here in the last two years,It payed for itself the first summer i got it , and its very easy to learn to use :fisher::cheers:

I realize that some detectors don't air test that great and in the dirt is where it counts. I just haven't seen many posts about the Edge in awhile. Glad to hear that there still out there finding things. Thanks for your responses.
