Anybody out there ever mount a CZ20 or 1280x on a straight shaft?

Well gosh, my 1280x IS on a straight shaft.... and the housing can slide right off top of the handle and onto a belt clip.

Not exactly what I had in mind mate! I have found what I was seeking at anderson shafts. They make 2 shafts for the CZ20/21/1280X, that allow the control housing to be mounted under the cuff, therefore eliminating the excessive drag through the water. Hip mounting has not worked out well for me in the surf, as the conditions are simply too violent out there. You are obviously a lake hunter using a 1280X anyway, right? Conditons are a little smoother there.

I think I have just about decided on the short shaft, because I do not want the control housing, beyond the cuff. Not ready to fire yet, still thinking about the choice.
 
OK GH, I see what yer doing now... and I did read yer posts abt nono hips. makes sense.
Maybe screw the belt clip to the rod in position of yer choice?
...I've splashed in surf only a little bit... will make big effort this spring as beach is 30mins away.
Just missed out on dentist office compressor to make hookah rig. will hookah in lake 30mins other way!
Had the 1280x for years but used it very little. 20years making dust.
I'm going wet in 08. Goal starts with buy all new wet gear with 1280x finds.
