Anybody notice all the used E-Trac's on the market. Glad to know we got the right machine (F-75) :)

hmmmmm .. since March 3rd there were 5 used F75's and 7 used E-Tracs sold at findmall. One of the F75's went for $500. I'm not sure I'd agree with your assessment on this issue. :nerd:

I think Tom is probably right. Most people can't sell a detector worth $500 to buy a new $1500 detector, but if you can sell your detector for $1100-1200 then you'd be more likely to scare up the rest for a Vision.

I couldn't believe the F75 for $500. It is obvious they are not real treasure hunters, just techno freaks.

$999.00. When people are selling them $450- $500 dollars.Thats a big loss......

These fine machines should hold the value much better than that.

In fact any reputable person have one for $450.... I will take it.

Lets not let the value drop like the coinstrikes have.....

The Coinstrikes had dropped in price, because when stock is cleared out, they won't be manufactured again.

Can't tie one to the other, 2 different scenario's.

I have both the F75 and the Etrac. In my opinion there both great machines. Don't knock the Etrac till you try it, if you know how to run the thing it is deadly on deep coins and relics..........

I really don't see all that many F 75's for sale, at any price. But, I am not into the big E either. Actually, I see some pretty good deals on a whole bunch of models, which, leads me to believe there may be a glut of detectors on the market. Fisher/FT have had numerous new models out, then with the new Whites and Minlabs, there has been a lot of new detector sales of late and ultimately, quite a few used ones thus become available MHO, anyway. your answer like clinton's 1992 campaign motto!.."it's the economy stupid!"..it's like george bush sr's response to a question from the media about the economy in '92 while taking a walk in downtown kennebunkport,maine!.."well!"..i don't think it's THAT bad!".the rest as they say is history!

If the second one was the issue, then the E-Tracs would be losing $500 value too. Heck there are EXII's going for more than the f75's.... Personally (being a gadget geek) I think the complexity and gadgety-ness of the machine holds the price high. Also the F75's, while amazing in some areas, can't be as easily used on salt beaches, in the inner city, and on very poor ground like the FBS units can.

Does anyone else wish First Texas would find some new tones for the Fisher line? Sometimes my F75 sounds like an Emergency Broadcast System announcement.
