Anybody in Florida hitting old coins??

EasySwing

New member
I am curious..

I have hit some wheats and one 1928 Indian Head nickel but no really old coins. Anybody else getting some of the old coins??

The reason I ask this question is because I see so many nice old coins posted and here in florida I have not had much success in finding these coins. Just a thought. Marty

Being nice year round plus a bunch of retirees, a lot of places get hit a bunch. I am located towards the center of the state, and have to rely on construction sites to bag anything old. Last year my oldest find was an 1855 Seated Quarter, and last month found an 1899 Barber Quarter and a 1905 Indian Head. They're here, but you gotta do a little research. Great equipment helps, although everything I have found has been with a Bounty Hunter 202. Research plus Opportunity seems to be the ticket for me in the Sunshine State!

Went out tonight and got a '46 Rosie.....Mosquitos were the worst I'd ever seen & the repellent was back at the house....hit it as long as I could stand the bites... Florida does have its hardships and occasional rewards...
