Anybody in Albuquerque (or northern NM) with a CTX?

A very good friend (in Virginia) told me that the CTX is just barely long enough at max length to swing comfortably. He is 5'10". I am 6'8". Since I have not found any mention of tall men's lower rods for the CTX, I would very much like to try one before dropping $2,000+. If there are any CTX owners relatively close (by New Mexico standards!), I'd sure like to spend a few minutes swinging your machine.

Please respond here or PM me if you think this might be a possibility.

Thanks!

I'm 6' 3" and have plenty of lower rod length to spare on the CTX

I noticed you have an E-Trac. The maximum assembled length on your E-Trac is 52.5 inchs. The maximum assembled length of the CTX 3030 is 55.3 inchs. If the E-Trac is comfortable for you to use the CTX should not be a problem. HH :minelab:

Not necessarily - it depends on how much of each machine is forward and rearward of the handgrip. If there is 16 inches of CTX behind by hand and only 10 inches of Etrac, then I've lost three inches between my hand and the coil when using the CTX.

Plus, I'd just feel better holding one before dropping that much money.

But I sincerely appreciate your input.

Phillip
