anybody hunting with a compadre??

Haven't tried one but, for what it is & what it cost, it is an awesome little detector. Actually it's a great beginners machine, as well as a good back up detector for those more experienced.
 
THEY CAME OUT WITH A COMPADRE WITH 8" DONUT COIL DEEPER THAN THE 5.75"COIL---------$160 CANNOT BEAT IT.:thumbup:

Froml the reports I've read, the Compadre indeed is a great little machine. However, if one can afford the extra $$' the Silver uMax has greater capability with the added feature of hunting in silent search all metal or disc mode.
