Anybody Here Speak Elfin???

So I'm showing this guy I work with one of the rings I found that I posted here yesterday. It's engraved all the way around on the inside and the outside and I'll be darned if I could make out what it said...even with my loupe. So he looks at it, turns it around, looks at it some more and says "Hmm...looks like maybe Elfin to me." I stopped what i was doing and did a double-take..."I'm sorry, I thought you just said you thought it might be ELFIN? Did you say ELFIN???" He says "Yeah, you know...like Elves." Silly me, I thought they spoke English. Turns out it's "Elfish", but they write in pure Elfin. Okie dokie! I don't know why I was surprised because this guy is Mr. Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, Star Trek...etc. I think he speaks Klingon.

Anyway, turns out it's a "Lord Of The Rings" ring and they actually have a catalog where you can order literally thousands of dollars worth of this stuff if you like. So, some Elf-wannabe is running around out there missing their ring.

Would like to come up, but work is keeping me tied up on weekends. Thanks for the invite. I am off today and I cannot choose between relic or beach hunting. Last week when I tried the surf, the NE winds were too strong to hunt out where I wanted to be. Maybe I will get lucky.
