Anybody have an extra 6x10DD?

If you know someone who has an extra 6x10DD laying around I'd be interested.
If you're wondering if I lost mine, you'd absolutely right. Don't ask me how; I think it's just old age getting to
me. I'm sixty five and I've found that I've been getting increasingly abscent minded. I went to get my MXT
together today for a hunt and thats when I realized the 6x10DD is gone. I went back to the last place I used it
and it's not there. All I have left is my 9.5, the 5.3, and the 12inch coil. No DD now. There goes $125 down the tubes; thats
what it cost me from a metal detector store in Kansas City MO. I feel absolutely sick. This ever happen to anyone else?

Gee whizz old Katz. Sounds like you are stuffed alright. Take 2 Asprin and 5 minutes sleep mate. lol. I am on my way to 62 mate. Looks like I have something to look forward to? As Topo says, even the young ones do it so don't feel too bad.

>Its always in the last place you look<

Well, I'm not holding out any hope. I and a friend were out MD hunting a week ago last Thursday. When we left he
wanted me to check out this old dilapidated red brick school house sitting out in the middle of
a field. It looked like something out of the old west. He said he had permission to hunt this location but the land
had changed hands; we had an angry owner out there in his truck chasing us off. He had a bottle of beer between
his legs and a 357 mag on the dash of the truck. My buddy thinks I might have left it at the school house, but he remembers me changing
from the 6x10 and putting on the 12 inch. He confirmed what I remember: I put the 6x10 in my bag along with the attached rod.

I used it or think I had it last Saturday at another old house near me. I was really tired after that. I had started with
the Ace 250 then switched to the MXT. I know I had to take the 6x10 off the the rod and put on my 12 inch for anything
that might be deeper. After getting so many hot rock readings I put on the 5.3 and moved in close to the old house. That's
when I saw that beautiful glint of silver; it was a 1963 silver Roosevelt Dime. I went back to this old house yesterday and asked
the owner if he had seen it laying around but he had not. Said he'd ask the residents of two houses he rented; the houses were in
real close proximity. I'll wait a few days before jumping in and buying a new coil.

>two aspirin and 5 minutes sleep....<

I did that actually. I slept most of day yesterday and just got up this Sunday morning at 6am.
Its raining again.
