anybody had any experince withe royal 800 precision scan coil?need some feed back:biggrin:

My favorite coil. A good compromise between depth & target masking. I really don't see a drop off on the depth from the stock 950. Works well on the XL pro & modded IDX line. Monte will probably lend his opinion. I know that he purchased one from me.

I have one that I have used on my XLT, Eagle Spectrum, XL Pro, and 6000 Pro SL. It is a good, solid performer. However, it doesn't really do anything that the 950 won't. It's a bit smaller, but if you are working in trash, you'll do better with the Black Max 5.3 and the 950. If you don't have a 950, then the Royal 800 is a good alternative.

The royal 800 always comes out first at the average trashy old site. I think it is your best all round coil, but the 950 & the 5.3 definitely have their place & they
should all get a good workout at a good spot.
