Anybody ever use a Tesoro Stingray - would like your opinions/tips...

got a used one at a great price and from a reliable source so couldn't turn it down. I'll be using it 99% of the time on inland freshwater lakes.

I heard it was the forerunner to the TigerShark models - just can't change coils.

Been detecting a long time its the only unit i'll use in fresh water. Its great on chains and small earrings.

It is an awesome detector for both land and fresh water. I hipmount mine whenever I use it.
Here is a link to a field test for the Stingray II....couldn't find one for the original Stingray. Go to Field tests-then Tesoro--then Stingray II.
