Anybody ever have to have their ACE retuned?

I have an ace 350 that has recently started acting a little strange. Almost every time I get a penny signal, I dig a pulltab. I tried air testing with wheaties as well as zincolns, and while the zincs usually bounce between penny and the notch below penny, both are showing lower on the scale. (wheaties bouncing in the notch below penny, and zincs bouncing between pulltab and the notch above. I installed new batteries, and checked my coil connection, and everything seems good. Do these things ever need to be sent in for a tuneup? I'm getting a little frustrated digging pulltabs when I'm expecting a penny.
Thanks guys.

With my ace 250 copper pennys never came in that low , allways in the dime (10cent) range. zennys most of the time come in as one cent depending on how corroded they were. And no I have never had my Ace retuned. If this is the first time you have experienced this with the 350 , that is strange. Good luck................................

I've never needed to send in my Ace 250. But I did notice towards the end of the detecting season that zinc pennies were often chiming in the quarter range...very aggravating considering that I had it set-up specifically NOT to accept pennies....had everything discriminated out below the quarter range.

I haven't tried to reset the unit. I honestly didn't even know that I could reset it. I'll give that a shot!

Yea, you need to call Garrett...but more than likely they will tell you
to send it back. They will either fix it or just send you a new one so
you don't lose any time out MDing.

Katz, you were right... I shipped the ace out today, to be delivered on Monday. Maybe they will have a quick turnaround with it. I'm already having withdrawal symptoms!!
Thanks guys!
