Anybody doing any prospecting with their MXT?

I would really like to hear from anybody that haS done any electronic prospecting with their MXT. I am especialy interested to hear from anyone in Oregon. I just bought a Whites 6x10 DD coil specificaly with prospecting in mind. It should be here any day. I also have the stock coil and the 3x6 DD shooter coil. I will probably add a 5"(mono or DD undecieded) some day.

Works great with DD. Of course not as good as the GMT, but you will find stuff. If you use the smaller DD you will be able to pick up smaller pieces at greater depths than the 6x10 and it rejects the mineralization effects a bit better. Trade off is not covering as much ground. But you need to go slow anyway to hear those faint signals from the smaller/deeper stuff.

both of those DD coils. I am getting excited to do some nuggetshooting in a couple of weeks. Where do you hunt? Is the GMT your primary machine or MXT? Do you use a pick or a shovel when you dig? Should I start out with the 6x10 until I find a good area. How will I know when to switch to the smaller coil to find the small stuff? Hope I didn't overload you with to many questions.
Thanks again. HH :detecting:
