any word from kellyco

I ordered my 800 122 days ago with no recent indication when my order will be filled. I was however, told several weeks ago I would be receiving my 800 by the end of March. I've always been a big fan of Kellyco as I've never had any issues dealing with them. I have always received great service with no exceptions. Not to mention always getting the best price on everything I've ordered. However, after patiently waiting 122 days and paying upfront in full for the 800, I've begun to reevaluate my decision to do so. Numerous times I've been given a ETA shipping date, only to have that date come and go and no 800. Cancellation is no longer a remote possibility. However, cancelling my order might be cutting off my nose to spite my face as I still want my 800.

I've been advised by my sales rep there at Kellyco, the orders will be filled according to the date individuals placed their order, which only seems fair. So one would assume if orders are being honored according to order date, there absolutely has to be a master order list based on when the order was placed. How hard can it be to ascertain where one is on the master list? I find it absurd that a sales rep is being denied access to the "placed order list"! It seems prudent and absolutely a good business practice to advise individuals who have ordered and prepaid where they are on the list.

To have a sales rep of a company take a order and have the order prepaid by the customer and then refuse the customer the most basic business courtesy of where the customer is on the order list is absolutely asinine! I believe I most likely will let this play out until the end of the month to see what happens. I will however, give much consideration when dealing with Kellyco again in the future.

Best Regards to everyone and best of luck to all who have ordered a Equinox from Kellyco.

Yes, I received an e-mail from Kellyco with a tracking number that mine will be here today. I ordered my equinox 800 back on 9/20/2017 and just receiving it. I ordered the Equinox 600 a month ago and received it already from Cabelas. I love it so I can not wait until the 800 arrives today. Hope this give you an idea of the wait time.

This gives me no hope for them I ordered in December all of you guys are months ahead of me. How much is it to cancel the order from them?

There is no running list of Equinox orders or the order each person is in, it is all handled by their data base system.. When order is placed it goes into the data base, when Equinoxx are received from Minelab the data base kicks out the oldest Equinox order and that is sent to shipping which then ships that order. They can not print out a list because there is no list, it would require writing a special software program to do so. They ship out orders as fast as they receive the detectors from Minelab. There has never been this high of a demand for a newly release detector with this many back orders.

I agree with you tbw the fact that we paid should give us the right to know where we are as for dealing with them in the future will be well thought out my not so local dealer brought a 600 and 800 to our club meeting I could of bought right then i'll know better next time

Costs nothing to cancel. I canceled yesterday. You only lose your place in line. Have you contacted any other Minelab dealers? A lot of the smaller players seem to have some available. I’d check around and not cancel, unless you find one elsewhere.

Kellyco has no control on how fast or how many equinoxs they receive, Minelab is at full production on the Equinox, as stated never been this high of a demand for a newly release detector. back logs are in the hundreds.

Good comments but never seen a database from any software designer that does not allow printing lists alphabetically, numerically or a myriad of other ways.

Minelab did a good job generating pre-release hype for the Equinox, and also in prolonging the buzz during release by this artificial scarcity. (Assuming ML keeps tabs on what is happening with its dealers, it had to know the number of preorders.) It will be interesting to see the glut that will hit once supply meets and exceeds demand. The used market should be kicking in around then, also.

Yes, inconceivable that KellyCo does not have the ability to sort that list by order date. Weird that it's being so non-responsive to customers.

I just talked to kellyco management and they have agreed to have their IT department write a software program to print out a list of Equinox customer orders in the order they were received. They will not be able to tell a customer when they will receive their order as that is dependent on the number of Equinoxs on each Minelab shipment they receive but they will be able to tell customers that call in how many orders are in front of them.

I doubt ML will OVER produce. Some people may not like it, they may have just wanted to try it, some made a mistake, or......it may not be better than what they were using. Still dont believe we will see any kind of GLUT on this machine.... new or used.

Update. I spoke to my sales rep at Kellyco this morning. Was told Kellyco had a meeting with Minelab earlier this week. According to my sales rep, Kelleyco was advised by Minelab's rep Kellyco "should" be receiving enough units to fill all back orders by mid to end of April going into May. Sounds pretty vague in my humble opinion! I'm of the opinion this is out of Kellyco's hands. If inventory isn't being provided by Minelab, then there's really nothing Kellyco can do. However, perhaps taking prepayment should be reconsidered in the future. Patience is a virtue.

I’d take anything KellyCo told you with a grain of salt. I canceled my order with them earlier this week because of their poor customer service. They are filling orders out of order, then denying it, and on top of that calling customers liars for pointing it out. I will not support that kind of behavior. I was fed up with the perpetual yours will be in the “next batch”, but before that the time frame I was given was “Eventually” and then “Sooner or later”.

I understand the slow rollout and the delay, and while I can’t speak for everyone, my complaint with KellyCo wasn’t the wait, it was being treated badly despite being a patient, paying customer. Maybe KellyCo has painted themselves in a corner, or even had help from Minelab, but it isn’t the customers fault.

I've been wrestling with myself, giving Kellyco the "benefit of the doubt". However, after waiting 123 days since I prepaid, I feel I would be cutting off my nose to spite my face if I were to cancel my order at this time. There is always the possibility there is some truth in what my sales rep with Kellyco was communicating to me. Believe me, if I had a source to purchase a Nox800 with my military discount and free shipping, I would at this time cancel my order without hesitation.

Ok I ordered mine 01/02/18 only after my rep told me they will be delivered by end of Jan... next I was told all orders should be filled by end of march now april to may wow they got my money so why care!this is my feeling !! will I order from them again probably not since the small guy is getting supplied and have them for sale , when others have outstanding orders

I fully prepaid KELLYCO mid NOV. Frankly, the September buzz peeked my interest (recovery speed, weight, waterproof, etc) but I was torn whether to preorder or wait for a unit from the 2nd or 3rd pruction run. Over the years, being in early has sometimes resulted in my feeling like a beta tester for a product. Hopefully, the protracted wait time will allow ML to take early customer feedback and effect software tweeks, etc before we, further down the que get our units. The Nox rollout seems to be pretty positive so far but if major problems were to become apparent, we wait-listers could probably cancel, right up to ship date. Point is, it’s not necessarily all bad, having to wait a bit.
