Any way to clean clad quartes and dimes without tumbling?

i used to use salt and vinegar.... i forget the ratio of each but it works ok if you dont leave them in too long ....only takes like 5 minuets..

Is there any way to find coins without metal detecting?
Just kidding. I don't know of any. I use vinegar and salt and it talks45 min to an hour. PRESTO! we're done.
I run them again with soap the on the next tumble to get the funky look washed off.
