Any V3 users have Digital Cameras???

Just wondering as I am snowed under right now and thought a few V3 owners might be in a warmer climate and could post some pics of their finds.....
You all are finding some things worth posting I hope.I have been kicking around the idea of getting a newer upgraded V3 and giving it another go as the early Vision I had may have had some issues effecting performance or lack there of,Ray.

Generally I won't post pics unless I've had what I consider a stellar outing/site. I could post a bunch of mercs.rosies but really whats the point? We've all seen them before.

My theory on why many pics aren't posted is because Whites users tend to be guys (and gals) who have been detecting a really long time (hence their loyalty to whites) and to that same group ordinary common finds (like mercs etc) aren't worth posting.

That said, I would like to see more pics posted here and tried to get the ball rolling myself a couple of weeks ago.

I own both the ET (for a few weeks and about 10 trips now) and the V3 and so far performance is very similar. I think it's slightly easier to get over a deep coin with the ET but I don't think I've dug anything with the ET that the V wouldn't have heard. Also, the ET sounds off great on deep Iron more so that the V so it;s a tradeoff. I've yet to see the true potential of either machine though.

I think both machines have their place and where I'm headed to dictates which detector is pulled from the garage wall. .If you have both you're loaded for bear! :D

Very good points for sure about common finds and older users but their are a lot of newbies out there that would love to see common silver posted. And as for Mercs and Rosies I find more Barbers in my hammered sights as the newer silver was cleaned out pretty well over 20 years ago except what was masked by iron. What I like to see is the old deep and or masked stuff that some are pulling out of hard hit public sites as that is where a machine will be tested to the max as far as turf hunting for old coins is concerned,Ray.

I haven't had many outings yet with the V3, but I must say that I NEVER get skunked. I always pull some Mercs and other silvers with it. My best find with the "V" (so far) is the 1770's KG copper found on my last outing:

Thanks for the info and picture  And I must say I am green with envy of your much older sites than I have here in MO,Ray.

I have the V3, and a digital camera, but my kid has it right now. Latest trip today netted a few coins, one 1920 wheatie, in a park that has to be the absolute trashiest park I've ever hunted. It really challenged me to tune out some of the trash, and still pick out coins. The wheatie was under a bottle cap by about 4 inches. I suspect this park has been heavily hunted, as the number of coins for the age of the park was pretty slim. But fun anyway, plus I'm trying out unknown territory on a business trip in Texas. I did swap coils ran with the 5.3 for a bit, then switched back to the DD. Both worked well I think anyone hitting this park should work only with a small coil, I've just never seen so many pulltabs, and bottle tops, along with foil all mixed together.
