Any tryed the Garrett 5-10 coil?

I have that coil. I got it for prospecting but it isnt as sensitive as the stock one. which is a trait of DD coil's. And it will get less depth than the stocker also. But it has very smooth operation in hot soil and you can crank the sensitivity all the way up with it. Makes a good coin shooter actually because it is small and it is a quiet coil. Not so good a prospector unless nugs are shallow and around a gram in size. Good to have it for some applications.

HAY ; Thank's Alan for the feedback .I looking to try one for prospecting and ran a Tiny test nugget across my stock coil in all-metal and it picked it up no problem just like my GM almost 4 inches with good signal no head phones.I was supperised .The lower freak should be good on the deeper larger nuggets ......HH.........Hobby:clap:

Good deal Hobby....2500 is very sensitive in all metal for having a lower freq. Set it on freq # 1 as it is the highest freq.

Did you get the same depth on your little nug with the GTI 2500 as you did with the GM?

Thanks, Alan

Thay where close to the same .But my GM-3 is more ajustable and just has more gain and can be ajusted for the worst ground.I'm looking forward to nuggett hunting with the 2500 I cant tell you how many time I came across a old site I wanted to coin shoot ,but to much trash for my GM I be there all week picing through the trash. The 2500 should be good as long as you have the upgraded chip to handle the bad ground...HH....Hobby:drinking:
