Any tips for the F4 on the wet sand?

Hi all,

Just upgraded to an F4 from my Discovery 3300... the 3300 did a great job on the dry sand at the beach, but no so good in the wet.

From what I've read about the F4 it should be all around better on the dry, wet and in the dirt. I wanted to see if anyone had some tips for me and my new F4 in the wet sand in Ocean City over the 4th...

Thanks!

I used the F4 quite a bit on the salt sand when testing the prototype. It did real well, just don't try to run it in the all metal mode, or use pinpoint, (not needed on the beach).

Down in the wet sand & waters edge, I set the discrimination to just eliminate the salt. That point is just above iron.

It would run at high sensitivity levels quite well as long as you stay out of the modes I listed above.

Have fun. :)

No I don't. I really didn't pay any attention to it, or I just don't remember. Relying on a meter to decide what to dig is not a good idea, and it's worse doing it on a salt beach, so I didn't give it much thought.

One generally digs all the targets they find, well they do if they want the gold. :)
