Any thoughts on the new Minelab Go-Find??

I dont own one but used one very briefly and must admit could not hand it back quick enough, this is of course just my personal opinion but possibly be one of Minelab's biggest White elephants.

The design and the way that they fold up is superb but the build quality is basically not upto Minelabs usual and the performance is not mind blowing either, would i part with hard earned cash to buy one the answer would be 'NO' way.Apart from that they are not bad

Well then, let me offer a counter-point. I've got a GoFind 60 and LOVE IT!

I love it for its portability primarily. It will never be my go-to machine and won't ever replace any of my other machines, but it has been so nice to throw it into a backpack along with my trusty ProPointer, a carpenter's apron, garden trowel and icepick. This backpack then goes with me pretty much anywhere I go. It's given me an opportunity to detect at locations I probably wouldn't have had a chance at otherwise.

So far it's gotten me several nice finds from yards and vacant lots, including a silver quarter about six inches deep.

I can't even imagine someone having it as a primary detector, but as a go anywhere machine in its price range, its pretty impressive!

It has it's place. More of a family type detector for dad, mom, kids when they go on vacation. Compact, easy to use. It has an iPhone thingy if you like gimmicks. Last thing I want when I'm detecting is my iPhone sticking it's butt into it.
