Any thoughts about the old QXT pro????

Always wanted to try a QXT and I finally got one. Seems like it would be a fun machine to hunt with. Hope to take it out in a day or two. Anyone here with any experience with one that would like to share their thoughts?

I got as a backup for my MXT, Went out and tried it ended up getting a Bullseye 5.3 coil for trashy areas and have not touched the MXT in a month. It is a real coin magnet and a lot of fun to use. There are some reviews on www. metaldetectorreviews.net. If set up correctly it will go quit deep. Great machine don't know why it was discontinued.

If you wouldn't mind posting a review on the QXT after you have put it through it's paces , I for one would certainly appreciate it. I too, have been contemplating one for a long time. Just can't afford to try every machine out there. Too many thing not known. Tone ID: is it like a XLT or PrismV? Sweep speed: can you swing it slow and still get accurate ID? Those are my main questions and I am sure others have more. Oh, by the way, my son loves the F2 we got from you. I kind of like it too. I got a frequency shifter for it and he uses it it comp. hunts. It works great.

Thanks Mike

Hi Kurt.

Give me a couple of weeks and I'll post something about it.

Glad to hear the F2 is still working for you.

Thanks for the feedback Sysgrade.

I was wondering that myself. I guess the trend is toward VDI numbers instead of conductive categories. Thats where you see all the metered machines going to now-a-days.
