I know some of you guys are "in the know" with Fisher. I was just wondering if any thing new was forecoming in the near future for FRL. The CoinStrike is still my favorite ID machine of all time. I regretted selling my first one and have since remidied that by getting a replacement one. It is one of three machines that can handle bullets 8"+ deep in some of our worst dirt, and one of two that can handle ALL the bad dirt I've been able to find here. That is saying alot. By comparison, a Fisher CZ-70 and CZ-3D would totally blank out on bullets and coins in one particular place. If you turned the disc all the way down (or on the CZ-70, didn't notch anything out) the bullets and coins would read as iron. I guess that makes sense, since most bullets will ID as a zinc cent anyway.

BUT..that said, it has been a while since we've saw a different sort of super machine come from Fisher. We saw the CZ-3D come but that was a continuation of the CZ line..as we know, just a hybrid with a different mode of operation. I'm looking for them to come up with a new non ID machine...super depth and discrimination...and maybe expand on the C$ technology with a better laid out menu (better buttons) and higher versitility of programming, on a very balanced setup. Do any of you guys have any hints you can lay out?

I can't remember what he said, but basically they are going to change the notching system to seperate pulltabs, nickels & a couple of other things.

Nothing that I'm "in on"....there have been some excellent suggestions on C$ improvements, like being able to blank out your own numbers, etc....I have passed ideas on to FRL, but I'm not sure if anything will come of it? We can only hope. But Fisher tends to drop new units when we least expect it sometimes like the Excel & 3D release. I'd like to see an improved non-metered 1266/1270 style unit too. I miss having one of those around sometimes. The 1270 is very deep, but not as well balanced....

Look at what the other companies are doing with lightweight easy to swing relic machines with good performance. A 1270 at under 3 lbs would be very welcome. A little work on making it more immune to electrical inteference wouldn't hurt either. RF interference just keeps getting worse and worse everywhere you go!
