The wife just told me that I need to find a beach vacation destination for the last week of July/first week of August. I would like to find a house that sleeps four on the beach. We live in East Tennessee and will be driving to get there (with a 13 year old and a 9 year old) so I am looking for something on the Southern East Coast or in the Gulf.
Here comes the "catch"...she wants to go somewhere quiet and I admit that would be relaxing but not very conducive to bountiful finds. Quiet and peaceful means fewer people and in turn fewer lost items.
Any suggestions on a destination that is relatively peaceful but close enough to a busy beach for me to get in a little productive swing time?
