I use both the 6-inch concentric and DD coils. Honestly, I don't see much (if any) difference in depth of detection, sensitivity or stability. I have, however, convinced myself that the DD coil will separate targets a little better. If I only had the 6-inch concentric, and my ground mineralization didn't warrant the use of a DD, I'd be completely happy with the concentric. At 7.5 kHz, it is an excellent coil for coins and jewelry. At 7.5 kHz, it will work on any of the 3 models of X-Terras. Where as the DD will only work on the X-50 and X-70. However......If you are prospecting, hunt in areas with higher levels of mineralization or spend a lot of time in search of small pieces of jewelry and own the X-50 or X-70, the DD at 18.75 kHz might be better suited to your needs. But again, I can't see much difference in them when hunting for old coins where I live. As I posted a few months ago, if you took the lables off of both my 6-inch coils, I probably couldn't tell them apart. I've used the DD more because I happen to have found more with it. And as you know, the more you find with any specific piece of equipment..... the more you'll use it! And the more you use it, the more you'll find. etc...etc....etc.... JMHO HH Randy
