While visiting the outback in Western Australia a few months ago I came across a number of these beside a former railway line, along with many old railway spikes. Perhaps a Railroad buff or Relic whiz could tell me what they are..

I think your right, gutta be a railroad relic......but no clue what for :shrug: At first I thought some kinda wierd bullet, but probably not?

Duh, I forgot to mention the size of these objects in the above post. :rolleyes: They were about 2-1/2" - 3" long and 3/4" - 1" in diameter.

Well. I don't think it was any of these:

Judging from the size of the other bones scattered around, we think probably it was a feral sheep... almost hit one that was taking a stand in the middle of the highway.
