Any relic hunters out there using the 6x10 DD?

I'm a relic hunter, although I do enjoy searching and finding coins. Just got the 6x10 DD and was wondering how it does for buttons, bullets, etc and if there is a certain sweep speed that one should maintain. I'm assuming as slow a speed as possible as to not miss the goodies.

It's my favorite MXT coil for relic hunting. Sweep speed depends on how "thick" the targets are. With few targets, you can hunt a little faster. Slow down in heavy iron. I use the Relic mode with trigger center for most of my hunting with the MXT. Ground lock, Gain as high as possible while remaining stable, Disc around 1.9-2, and very slight threshold. It's a hard combination to beat, in my hunting conditions.

Good hunting,

....great info, thanks! By the way, where are you located at, since you mentioned conditions? Just curious of what ground conditions you hunt in and what part of the country it is at.

Thanks,
Don

I'm in Colorado, and hunt a fairly mineralized, sandy soil. My ground readings are usualy around 82+. Of all my machines, I will grab the MXT with the 6x10 Eclipse DD first for relic hunting.

Hope this helps,
OldeTymer
