any reason to get the 5x10 coil if

you have the 8x11 and 5" coil? Seems the 5" coil gets all the stuff in the trash and the 8x11 coil will get the deeper stuff. Therefore any reason to have the 5x10 coil?

Thanks,
Rick N. MI

Guys comment to me all the time they think it gets depth of the 11" but separates like the 5".

Logic dictates this coil will not hunt as deep as the 11x5 nor will it separate as well as the 5", but it is a great comfortable medium! if you detect in field stubble or brushy areas you should definitely consider it! If your hunting only parks/yards you could live without it... That being said, I use mine approx 50% of the time, and it is probably the best accessory coil Ive ever bought for a beeper in 30+ yrs tectin'......some dont like it ....I love it :)

I only hunt in parks...but the size of the park has me considering one. I have quite some space left to hunt. But money concerns have me thinking it is going to wait till I get back to Ca.

My 10 inch coil gets the separation of the 5 but the depth of the 11. I'm keeping it.

I'm going to get one. I want to go water hunting with it and will be great in the trash. To bad the 11" didn't have a long cord. It would have been nice in the water. I didn't get to try the 5" coil much. I had a little hard time with the coil so small. I know you need to take your time and hunt an area. I will in the spring. 24F and couple inches of snow now. I look forward to using the 5x10.

Thank you everybody.
God Bless, Merry Christmas,

Rick N. MI

The 10x5 means you don't need the other two coils. I my G2 full time these days and I keep the 10x5 on it. No need for the other two coils IMO.

One more thing....when you pinpoint and it says it is below where the shaft connects to the coil is, it is there. It is very accurate on the pinpoint which is a plus.

After more time in the field and testing in my yard, I found that the 10x5 is not as deep as the 11 inch coil. It might only be a difference of an inch or two, but it is not as deep. It does separate small targets as well as the 5 inch coil which is a plus. I will sacrifice the depth difference and keep it for the separation and it doesn't get snagged on brush like the 11 inch coil does.

The separation is near as good as the 5",and the depth is a little less than the 11".... It fits great around all the different stubbles in the fields, as well as the briars/sticks in the wooded areas without sacrificing very much depth. These are mostly the areas I hunt, and the 5x10 has easily become my go-to coil on the G2

The main advantage in the 5x10 for me is the long cord. The GBP makes a great water hunter for gold. It is also my favoorite vlf nugget hunter.
