Any Ranger Pro Users?

 Hi everyone! Has anyone ever used the Bounty Hunter "Ranger Pro" ? I think that either Cabella's or Bass Pro Shops sell them exclusively. How do you like it? How does it compare to the time ranger and is the target recovery time fast? I welcome any comments or questions. Happy Hunting, DF:detecting::bounty:

It is Bass Pro Shops version of the Time Ranger...Have not heard of anyone yet who owns one, but I would imagine that it is comparable in function to the actual Time Ranger...looks like they changed the button layout and the color of the machine...Most of the time, these are the only differences, and the boards are the same...

Dirtfisher,

I had not heard of the Ranger Pro. I looked it up at both the Cabella and Bass Pro websites. The Ranger Pro is NOT the same as the Time Ranger. You will notice the TR has two features the Ranger Pro does not have...Blanker and Program Select. Blanker allows you to specifically eliminate any target you do not want to detect. The Program Select allows you to toggle through 4 pre-programed settings. I am guessing the "Seek" mode on the Ranger Pro is similar to the "Sniff" feature on the Time Ranger. This feature allows you to specifically zero in on any target and eliminate all others in that frequency. I am guessing the "Disc/Target" mode on the Ranger Pro works similarly as the TR. This allows you to manually set your machine to discriminate 4 levels of iron and either accept or reject a number of other targets. As far as features go it appears to be somewhere between the Land Star and the Land Ranger. So, if you are hoping to get the Ranger Pro with all of the Time Ranger features you will be disappointed. Hope this helps.

 Thanks for the info guys! That helps a lot. I think I might like the blanker feature on the Time Ranger but I might be able to get the Ranger Pro from Craig's List at a lower price. I like the way the Time Ranger looks and I like the features better. Happy Hunting and don't forget...."SPRING IS COMING!!!":jump::detecting:
