Any Personal Experience with MAHA POWEREX 9vt. NIMH Batteries:

Hey Guys/Girls, Has anyone had any personal experience in using this NIMH battery with their Fisher CZ Units? It is a 9.6vt MAHA POWEREX NIMH Battery with 170mah, and I'm wondering would I get some longer hunting time with this battery, instead of the Top Alkaline Batteries? Would appreciate any responses/opinions. trying to decide if purchasing (4) batteries and a MAHA 9vt. Charger would be worth the investment. HH,

Les,
I haven't used that brand but my Nimh batts get 5-7 hrs per charge. They are rated at 200 mah or better. You won't get as much time on one set as the alkalines but you'll recharge them and use them over and over. I always carry a fully charged extra set with me in case the ones in the unit run down. Search around on the internet and you'll find a good deal on some batts and a charger.

For some reason 9 volt rehargeable batteries in most cases just don't give half the time like rechargeable other size batteries at least in a CZ...I use Nexcell Nimh and probably get at least 1/3plus of the time on a good alkaline battery and would imagine all vary to a degree..My feeling for about 40 bucks got a charger and 4 batteries one charged in unit and another charged and ready give me all the battery power I need. You have to realize I use an overnight charger and someone using a quick charger would not get the same time. Keep in mind batteries are good for 1,000 charges and can be topped off as they are NiMH and charger has two red light on it which go off when they are charged so in the long run over a period of time just going to save some bucks rather than buying Alkalines....
