Would like to hear everyone's thoughts on the FBS 800 Coil...
Thanks Duggr

[size=large]haven't ever heard of FBS 800 coil.

I asked Bryce the same question.

I just like the 8" Sunray and 6x8 SEF a little better. Give that coil a chance and I think you'll like it in the heavy trash.

I have the FBS 800 coil and it works very well. I have never used it on the Explorer but I have on the Safari. I found it to be just a tad heavier than I'd like for an 8 inch coil but all-n-all, it gets the job done. Although it is called an 8 inch coil it actually measures 7 1/4 inches across the bottom. I plan to take it out tomorrow and hunt a trashy park on the Explorer SE Pro.

Hope this helps.
Don

From what I have experienced the Sunray X-8 is deeper. The little SEF coil is as well.

Just picked one up and did a air test. It worked very well. Being smaller than the 11 inch stock coil I cant wait to find a place to hunt with it. For now Im running a 6 inch treasure seeker, and love it.
