Any one using the 15 x 18 S.E.F. ?...Just got one

I just got one ,and man the separation........:look:.......Yup thats right..................This beast is hard to separate from the ground.....It's kinda heavy,...........I think I'll make my own Bungee rig 4 it.
In the 1/2 hour I tested, and then in the 20 mins I hunted with it...I seen the 3 deep Quarters I buried in my back yard under the power lines.
Gave a good audio, and accurate ID on 2 of 3 of them buried on edge at 10",and flat @ 12"...........I don't know how it will be on dimes,as it has a little hard time picking up my 10" on slant,,,ect. I could only hunt 20 minuites before I had to switch to a smaller/lighter coil.....But Man you can cover alot of ground with it......Maybe I should have good a 12 X 15........But too late now......:rage:.... So I guess I'll live with it.
Anyone else hunting with this beast ?........I got it thinking it might work better than the 10 X 12, Or 12 X 15 SEFs on deeper quarters and
halves .......................... I betcha it would be really good at finding C.W. Cannon Balls.....

That's nothing, Detech is thinking about bringing out a 17" x 21" SEF, wow!

Go to Joan Allen's seb site in the UK and read the test reports about the different sizes of the SEF coils.

All I got yesterday from there was a review on the 12 x 15 SEF by Neil Jones. Unless I overlooked something,my internet searches reguarding the 15 x 18 SEF has come up empty (Besides one short review of a Beach Hunter finding a Gold w/diamond ring)..................Just looking to see if any land hunters had any experience with the 15 x 18" SEF.............
If I did over look something on the net please post a link..............Thank You for any Info

You found it. Then maybe try:

Thanks for the web links Dave......I had already read them but. I checked that Joanallen's site again and got more reviews. I was hoping to see a 15x18" US or Aussie hunter that has been using one,as we hunt for more of the deep Quarter-Half$ size high Cond. stuff than the Europians/UK users do....Hell....ours coins (50-250 years old) are too new for them LOL
I was hoping maybe an SE/or Etrac user had been hunting with the 15 x 18 and had some experience to share. I guess they haven't been out that long, and may have to keep rechecking the :minelab:forums to share Info on them.
I seen they have the 17 x21",but what do you hunt for with that.....A small buried Town ?:surprised:

but I cringe at the thought of the posts saying how heavy it is.

I think Firestone has a deal on a set of wheels just use the coupon JW gives with his monster coils.....

And for the Rockefellers of detecting you can mount three 18X21 's on your 4 wheeler just noise cancel each Etrack....make sure you mount sideways with a little ingenuity you can make it into a remote control vehicle and sell them to NATO for mine sweeping. ...

With all kidding aside I love the EQ square Excelerator.........and after the 12X15 the site is pretty much done until mother nature intervenes........so little time and to many places to DIG.......

Happy Trails

I do not see the17x21 SEF on the Kellyco web site yet?
I suppose it is only available for Whites DFX/MXT/M6 and Minelab E-Trac/Safari/Explorer/Quattro/Sovereign machines??

I'll throw it up here one more time to see if any SEF users will share their thoughts with us. I see Txbluesman's wife wants to buy him a new coil for Christmas.....He is thinking about the SEF coil ....but he has not got any answer as well.....
I will donate My 2 cents worth here....Txbluesman ,if you are reading this you already know I have the 15 x 18 sef......Works fine, great depth and separation. I had just bought it and have not had much chance to do anything but run it in my DEEP COINS Test garden with the weather being cold/ground frozen......But I am already thinking of changing it out for the LIGHTER 12 x 15".........
My only other logical choice would be the 10 x 12" SEF that has been receiving rave reviews, and has :minelab: SE hunters hooked on it's target separation ,and good depth qualities ( especially compared to the 1050,and slimline coils that came with the original SEs.
But..........................This IS the E-Trac Forum.............and with the E-Trac comes a superb coil.....the PRO coil.........I have not read enough posts or reviews....or Any Comparisons between PRO & 10 x 12 SEF that would lead me to believe they are anything other than basically the same..
So my only conclusion....(In my case......) Is that the 12 x 15....is about as good in depth (on paper---average) as my 15 x 18 " SEF.......
AND..................is about 1/2 pound lighter than the 15 x 18.........Not to give my 15 x 18 a :puke: review......It runs very smooth.....and has GREAT DEPTH.
In order to keep hunting with it ,I would have to get a bungee rig,and I would ....If I got to hunt farm-fields,and C.W. relic hunt.
Since nobody else has used the 15 x 18 coil,or are willing to let me know .I have to make a time restrained decision, based mainly on weight !
I will be trading mine off for the 12 x 15 (Even tho it is 'a little' heavier than the pro coil) I think I can make better use of it....JMO
Anyone else ? Please feel free
