A backup machine possibly

had a fright then . I miss read it and thought you asked should you use the F75 as a back up !

For me, for coinhunting in that frequency range, Fisher's I already own like the C$, Edge, would be my choice. I have owned all 3, and witnessed much better number "locks" on coins with the C$/Edge. Add a T2 into the mix & I just would never make use of them all.....
Gold might be a different story with the F5, but I have different detectors for jewelry too ;)
Too many detectors...too little time :)

I see them so crazy cheap now....probably less than an F5 for a former top of the line $900. unit. They are one of the best coinhunters I have ever used. Now that the snows melted I'm going to get back to finishing my Coinstrike video. This should show everyone what this baby is all about. I'll show how it "sticks" on 1 number when you have a coin. It will not even move! We knew after awhile that a +31 was a large cent everytime. So, of course it was a real thrill to see a 31 lock in that's for sure! :)

My F75 broke so I had to use my F5 and I was hunting about three hours from home. The F5 did a great job two rings two silver coins three english coins a whole lot of clad some match box cars. The F5 out hunted the F75 and the CZ3D but if I had my F75 who knoews what else I would have found.

I'd get an F 70 as a back up for the F 75 (that's what I actually did). I also have an f 5. Nice machine, but I think the F 75 and F 70 are deeper. The nice thing about the F 75/F 70 combo is all three available coils are interchangeable.

keep on diggin'

I'd be more inclined to say you out hunted the other hunters. I'm not disputing the abilities of the F5, it seems to be a great machine. But, if you think about it, you always find the best finds of the day, regardless of the machine you use. Skill and experience are the keys, a top end machine is just a bonus.

You are right Crosby and I forgot to mention your silver half dollar that wast the best find of the weekend.
