Any one rent those carpet clean machines in the chain stores,,are they any good ?

I see them all the time,not sure if better just too get a pro,,I have a small home only,may check into it at least.Might not save much not sure really.. oj bc
 
but you'll have to spray a stain remover of some kind and scrub it in with a brush
on the real dirty areas. Sometimes going over the area 2 or 3 times with the
machine does the trick as well. Good luck.
 
buying one at home depot pretty much like the one we rented. Like Willy says, you may have to go over it few times is really soiled.
None are really fast. Even thought we own one, if you keep end eye out in the little saver papers, often they have a coupon that brings them in at a cheap price. If everything is out of the way and nothing to move, they do the steam job and it gets them pretty good. We take spot cleaner and spray it on the bad spots just as the get ready to do it.... We 3 dogs here, that sneak in after being out doors, they can make a mess. It don't happen often but when it does....

They work, & they're lots cheaper than professional carpet cleaners. The pros use essentially the same thing but bigger so they can charge more for it. You do have to go over really bad spots several times & use a pre-spotter--they have the pre-spotter at the store where you rent the thing. You spray that on the really bad spots & let it soak in for an hour or so before you use the machine.
