Im going to a co workers neighbors house tomorrow after work to try and find a mens titanium wedding band that was lost in the yard while raking leaves and was wondering what numbers to look for. Thanks chilly

My titanium wedding band air tests at 59 on my Delta. I don't have the Omega so I'm not sure if this helps. I hope you find it!

Mine comes in at 34 - 35 using a Fisher F5 which has the same freq as the Omega at 5.9kHz. Both units are about the same spec wise. Just to give you an idea, dimes hit at 72 - 74, qtrs at 80 - 84 and nickels at 32 - 34. Hope this helps.

You will need to look in the nickel range with the Omega ...... but in saying that, it also depends on the size of the ring so it could be in the pull tab to screw cap range.

Good luck.

The frequency is 7.8 kHz...

Shocked your ring comes in so low, must be thin?

Opps .... small typo on my part there ... you are correct at 7.8kHz.

The ring is not that small, it has a gold band in the center so I guess it sees the gold more than it does the other metal.

Sounds like it was just recently lost, so maybe pay closer attention the near overload (shallow) hits then the vid readings. I suspect, though, that it will hit in the nickel range and maybe a few numbers higher. Good luck. HH jim tn

Went to the location after work and seems the husband wasnt sure if he lost it in the back yard or the front, 2 days ago he raked the leaves put them on a tarp and drug them to the curb where they were picked up by the city . The back yard was fenced in with chain link and the yard had the most dog poop ive seen in my life,....I carried my pinponter with me and checked all signals in the nickle and pull tab range...checked depth with omega and if shallow used the pinponter to confirm .....guess I did this about 30 times...this place had so much trash in the ground it reminded me of a park in a big city that sees constant use and abuse. Anyway after covering the area in one direction I moved to the front yard and devil strip area but still no luck....could the ring have been sucked up by the city when they picked up the leaves?..did he lose it somewhere other than the yard or did I miss it/ just not sure will try and check again before weather gets to cold. Thanks for all the input I will give an update if I have some luck next time.

Went through a similar situation about a year ago. Our club got a call from a guy in a nearby small town that said his wife had lost her very expensive wedding ring with diamonds and could our club help him find it and he would give the club a $500..00 reward if we could. He stated they know the area the ring was lost. His wife would set on the patio and throw a ball for their dog to fetch and the ring flew off straight out into the back yard. Four club members spent two Sat. mornings looking for the ring and couldn't find it. One of our lady club members stopped by on Sun. and expanded the search to the side yard and quite promptly found the ring. The wife was elated and the man said he would send the reward check the next day. We are still waiting for the check. Anyway, lost items are frequently not where they thought they were lost. Yu should ask them to clean up the dog crap so you can properly hunt the backyard... you deserve a little respect. Some people... just... well... nevermind.
