I had started using a cheap thin floor mat, bought from walmart, and when i dig i put the dirt on the mat, it seems to save me time and when i am done whith the hole i just pour it right back in and follow with the grass plug and you really cant tell i dug. I just seem to feel better about the place when i leave it. ( no soil left on the grass.) Its probably not a new concept but i thnk its great

I carry a rag and use that ...Always cover your holes neatly. Nobody can say @#$% then. At the beach I sometimes don't cover my holes because the surf and wind take care of it . The really deep ones I do cover however.HH GregM

Hey, I just started detecting and I use an old shirt that I don't wear anymore. LOL. It works though
